Prioritisation Initiative

    There are four stream panels:

    • Aetiology
    • Secondary Prevention
    • Rehabilitation and Recovery
    • Life after Stroke

Each panel will review the evidence, identify knowledge gaps, incorporate stakeholder and lived experience perspectives, and develop priority research questions within their area.

The focus will be on identifying priorities that are best addressed through the Global Alliance and would benefit from international collaboration, including studies requiring diverse populations, multinational data collection, shared expertise, and coordinated implementation. The resulting priorities will guide the Alliance’s future collaborative research activities, partnerships, funding applications, and implementation efforts, culminating in a consensus meeting following ESOC 2027 in Vienna.
